Departmental Profile
About
The University Department of Odia was established in the year 2018. It is imparting education up to PG and Ph.D. level. Currently, 27 students are enrolled in the 4th Semester (Session 2023–2025) and 22 students in the 2nd Semester (Session 2024–2026), and are continuing their education.
Aims & Objectives
To develop language research in the three districts of Kolhan Division of Jharkhand State and adjoining areas of Odisha State.The department has two well-equipped smart classrooms, one reading room, a Head of Department (HOD) chamber, and a gallery for organizing different academic and cultural activities.
Departmental Research Activities
Currently, twenty-four research scholars are enrolled in the Ph.D. programme of the department. Nine research scholars have already been awarded the Ph.D. degree by the University. Regular Ph.D. coursework is ongoing.
